Shipping and delivery
These are one-of-one items, so we ship them the way you would ship something that cannot be replaced: insured for the full purchase price, tracked end to end, and released only against a signature.
Processing time
Orders are prepared within two business days of payment clearing. Preparation is not just packing: we re-verify the certificate serial against the issuing house’s records, photograph the piece as it goes into the box, and record the tracking number against your order. You receive the tracking number by email as soon as the carrier scans the parcel.
Business days exclude weekends and United States federal holidays. An order placed on a Friday evening is prepared the following Tuesday at the latest.
How pieces are packed
- Balls, pucks and small items travel in a rigid display case inside a double-walled carton with a minimum of two inches of void fill on every face.
- Jerseys are folded on acid-free tissue in a polybag, then boxed. They are never vacuum-compressed, which can crack paint-pen ink.
- Bats and sticks ship in purpose-cut tubes or long cartons with end caps and internal bracing.
- Framed pieces ship with corner protectors, a face-taped glazing guard, and a rigid-panel sandwich. Anything with a glazed dimension over 30 inches is crated rather than boxed.
- The certificate, letter or label travels with the item, in a sleeve, never loose in the carton.
Carriers, insurance and signature
Domestic United States shipments go by a tracked, insured ground or express service with signature required on delivery. We do not offer a no-signature or leave-at-door option on any item at any price, and we cannot waive it at the buyer’s request — the signature is what makes the insurance answerable.
Insurance is for the full purchase price and is paid by us, not added to your total. Oversized and crated pieces move by freight, and we will confirm the carrier and window with you before despatch.
Addresses
We ship to the address given at checkout and do not change it once a label is generated. We do not ship to freight-forwarding addresses, and we do not ship to a PO box, because neither can produce the signature the insurance requires. If the address you entered is wrong, email us before the parcel is scanned and we will cancel and re-issue the label.
International shipping
International shipping is quoted individually and arranged by email before an order is taken, so nothing is a surprise. Import duties, taxes and customs brokerage are the buyer’s responsibility and are collected by the destination authority, not by us. We declare the full purchase price on every customs form; we will not under-declare value, and asking us to do so ends the transaction.

If something goes wrong
Risk of loss stays with us until the carrier records a signed delivery. If a parcel is lost, we file the claim and refund or replace without waiting for the carrier to settle. If a piece arrives damaged, photograph the outer carton before unpacking further and email us within 48 hours; we file that claim too. The full process is in the returns policy.
